Border Security and Control Program

The Border Security and Control Program (BSCP) is an intensive five-day curriculum formulated from a collaborative effort between the Border Management Secretariat (BMS), Kenya School of Government's Security Management Institute (SMI), and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The program’s aim is to equip frontline border officers with practical, hands-on tools to address complex challenges including human trafficking, drug smuggling, and terrorism while maintaining the delicate balance between security and legitimate trade facilitation.

The curriculum delves into migration dynamics and transnational organized crime, providing officers with essential knowledge to navigate border management complexities with discernment and confidence. Designed specifically for those protecting Kenya's land, air, and maritime ports of entry and exit, this training transforms theoretical understanding into actionable expertise.
